The big day

Hello everyone!!! Oh Happy Me is live and I am super excited! I truly cannot believe it! What a journey! To begin with, I just wanted to thank you each one of you for stopping by and checking it out a dream of mine that just came true!

Sharing is caring

I always had the passion for helping others through my experiences. Oh Happy Me is the perfect place for me to do that. Creating a blog from scratch was a little scary but very encouraging too. I have been planning this for a while now, preparing for everything, basically getting it all together. Now, I’m ready to share some amazing tips on life, living it to the fullest, how to be healthy and take care of yourself and a whole lot more.

We are together

I totally understand that life can be hard and sometimes all you need is a little inspiration that helps you keep going. This is what I want to do for anyone who stumbles upon my blog; to encourage them to live life and enjoy every moment of it.

The beginning

Back in 2015, I lost myself. My heart, my mind, my body and my soul were unhappy, sad, depressed and hopeless. That’s when the “idea” of creating a blog began! I thought I needed something to hold on to it. Surprisingly, during the process, I realized I wasn’t missing anything, but myself. So, today I have a very special post to share with all of you! Hope you enjoy it and keep coming back for some more!

…falling in love with ourselves

Can you be happy with yourself right now and still want to change your life? I believe you can. I think this is a powerful balance we should strive every day. While a lot of us look for love from a partner and mate, we often miss out on the person who has some amazing love to give, ourselves.

If you fall in love with yourself — not in a selfish way, but in an appreciative way — you will discover a source of love that doesn’t run out. So how do we start falling in love with ourselves? It seems a little silly to many of us. But, It’s not silly, though, it’s simply a process of introspection and appreciation, and it’s very possible.

Naturally, we are our own worst critics and are too quick to forget that we are worth loving. While it’s far from a simple process, here are some of the concepts I’ve embraced to help me find that critical balance between contentment with now and a vision to be the best version of myself in the future.

Meet with yourself

What is good about you? What are your interests, your passions, your accomplishments? Don’t be critical at this point — find the interesting in you. It’s there if you look. Write it down!

Get to know your true self

It’s possible you don’t know the answers to some of the questions in the previous step. Over the next few days explore yourself. Look within and find out your desires, dreams, fears, strengths, weaknesses, and all that’s good within you.

Be honest with how you feel

Learn to admit how you really feel and then you can learn to accept it. Stop living the way you think you should and start doing what feels right. It’s only then that you will be perfectly happy with your decisions.

Be patient

Often we are set in the mindset of how our lives should be and feel frustrated when we aren’t quite there yet. Let go of the anxiety and learn to just accept things for how they are. You’ll find the opinion you have of yourself will be much more positive.

Eliminate negative people

Anyone who contributes to you thinking less of yourself should be eliminated from your life. Remove toxic people from your circle. You will realize that loving who you are is far easier when you’re surrounded by people that make you a better person.

Spend more time alone

Time just by yourself will help you to learn exactly who you are and the person that you should be loving. Recognize what makes you happy, motivates you or annoys you. The more you know about yourself, the more there is to like.

Find happiness within yourself and you will surely live a happy and fulfilling life! Wish you all a beautiful day!
